We just observed something re-entering the atmosphere. It might have been a satellite or possibly a meteorite, about 10 to 15 miles ahead, heading in roughly the same direction. It burned up and was heading down, obviously. I'm just sharing info for any other aircraft that just passed us in the opposite direction; they might have observed the same. It was quite impressive.

We just saw something coming back into the atmosphere. It looked like a satellite or maybe a meteorite, maybe 10 or 15 miles in front of us, moving the same way we are. It was burning up and falling, of course. Just wanted to pass that along for any planes that just flew past us the other way; they probably saw it too. It was a pretty amazing sight.

It was right ahead of us.

It was directly in front of us.

Yeah, pretty cool. It burned up really brightly. It took us by surprise and was there for several seconds before it went out.

Yeah, it was really cool. It glowed very brightly as it disintegrated. It caught us off guard and stayed visible for a few seconds before disappearing.

It didn't respond, did it, with TCAS?

It didn't show up on your cockpit’s anti-collision radar system, did it?

I don't think so.

No, I don't believe it did.
